Terms and Conditions

Please read the information listed below carefully, as each registration booking is subject to the standard terms and condition of the SASTQB. Registration for this event is deemed acceptance of these terms and conditions.

  • Tickets are payable upon checkout. Tickets purchased on a special request must be paid in full within 10 business days, or 30 days prior to the event date (if this is sooner). We reserve the right to refuse admission to the conference if payment has not been received. If your payment does not reflect in our books on the agreed date your conference registration will be forfeited.

  • prior to the event by advising the conference organiser at info@testitafrica.com. Delegates will be required to present proof of identity upon registering that matches the delegates name on the purchased ticket.

    Tickets are non-refundable. 

    In the event that the TEST-IT Africa conference is cancelled for any reason, you will receive a refund of the full conference fee only. Flights, accommodation, replacement staff and any other loss sustained will not be reimbursed.

    In the event that the TEST-IT Africa conference is postponed for any reason, you will receive a refund of the full conference fee only. Flights, accommodation, replacement staff and any other loss sustained will not be reimbursed.

    The TEST-IT Africa is not responsible for any loss or damage as a result of a substitution, alteration or cancellation/postponement of the TEST-IT Africa Conference. The TEST-IT Africa shall assume no liability whatsoever in the event this conference is cancelled, rescheduled or postponed due to a fortuitous event, Act of God, unforeseen occurrence or any other event that renders performance of this conference impracticable, illegal or impossible, in the sole opinion of the TEST-IT Africa. For the purpose of this clause, a fortuitous event shall include but not limited to war, fire, earthquake, labour strike, extreme weather or other emergencies.

    Please note that while speakers and topics were confirmed at time of publishing, circumstances beyond the control of the organisers may necessitate substitutions, alterations or cancellations of speakers and/or topics and the programme and the format of the event may be changed accordingly. As such, the TEST-IT Africa reserves the right to alter or modify the advertised speakers, topics, formats or programme as deemed necessary without any liability to the delegates whatsoever. Any/all substitutions, alterations or amendments will be notified via updates on the conference website as soon as possible.

  • All “Early Bird” discounts require payment at the time of registration and before the cut-off date in order to receive any discount.

    In order to qualify for the “Student” discount, you will be required to produce a student registration document reflecting that you are a registered full-time student during 2020 at a University or Technicon.

    In order to qualify for the “ISTQB Certified Tester” discount, you will be required to produce a student/certificate number or formal pass letter reflecting that you are an ISTQB Certified Tester. 

    Delegates will need to submit the required documents for approval before purchasing tickets. Upon approval/confirmation, a discount code/coupon will be generated to use when purchasing the conference ticket.

  • In the past, the conference organiser has released details of the registrants to the sponsors and exhibitors to facilitate communication between the delegates, sponsors and exhibitors. If you do not wish your details to be released in this way, please email info@testitafrica.com . We reserve the right to include your name, email and organisation in the conference delegate list unless you advise the conference organiser four weeks before the event that you do not wish to be included.

  • Every effort will be made to ensure that delegates with special needs are catered for. Should you require any specific assistance, or catering provision, please include the relevant details in your registration.

  • Please be aware that the conference staff will be taking photographs, video, and audio to record events during the conference. These may be displayed on the TEST-IT Africa website or used by the TEST-IT Africa for promotional purposes (for example, in print or web format). You will need to accept and agree to the following statements:

    • I understand that the SASTQB/TEST-IT Africa may use these images in their marketing material.
    • I understand that if I do not wish to have my image, or voice recorded and used in this way then I need to inform the conference organiser and any media person taking my photo, videoing me or recording my voice at the conference.

    If you contact the conference organiser, a sticker will be placed on your conference name tag that will alert photographers of your wishes. They will do their utmost to avoid photographing or recording people identified in this way. It is also your responsibility to remove yourself from situations where photographs are being taken, or video and audio are being recorded.

    Other delegates may take and distribute images or recordings via social networking sites or independent websites or reports. The TEST-IT Africa/SASTQB can take no responsibility for material or images used in this way.

  • All advice, decisions, opinions, recommendations, proposals, presentations, seminars and reports, whether written or oral, are made in good faith by the SASTQB/TEST-IT Africa on the basis of value judgements influenced by current commercial and organisational conditions. These may be affected by unforeseen events and factors outside the SASTQB/TEST-IT Africa’s control and, as such, we reserve the right to amend or cancel planned or previously agreed to arrangements. In this instance, the SASTQB/TEST-IT Africa shall not be liable in any event to delegates, exhibitors, or any other person or third party for any direct or consequential loss or damage sustained arising out of or in connection with the event.
